For organizing extra and co-curricular activities, the department has one students organization named Society for Political Studies. All teachers and students are the member of the organization. Head of the Department is ex office President of the organization and treasurer become one senior teacher. Two teachers also designate as Cultural Adviser and Sports Adviser respectively. All the post of executive committee fill up from the students representatives from different semesters.
