Pohela Boishakh (Bengali New Year)
Bengali New Year or Pohela Boishakh is the first day of the Bengali calendar, celebrated in both Bangladesh and West Bengal, and in Bengali communities in Assam and Tripura. It coincides with the New Year's Days of numerous Southern Asian calendars. SUST celebrates Pohela Boishakh every year. The SUST campus is ready to greet the Bengali year 1418 with rally, cultural function, folk songs, concerts and day long Boishakhi fair.
