Along with a bunch of volunteers members of the Executive Committee directly distributed the stationery sets among the school children of rural Sunamganj. In the very early hour on September 21, the team started their journey to Sunamganj by two hired buses. The stationery goods were loaded on rooftop and inside of buses. The team arrived in Sunamganj Circuit House at around 11am. After a short discussion with the District Administration and refreshment the team split into four groups to cover four areas. One went to two schools located about 2Kms from town. The rest three teams boarded on hired trawler to visit distant areas. One group attended Mainpur (about 10Km from the city) and Balikandi (about 15Km) primary schools, and distributed stationary sets among the kids. One group went down to Bishambarpur. Three groups returned by around 4pm, except the one that went to Bishmbarpur. Their trawler broke down in the middle of Tangoar Haor. A rescue team went to recover the trawler and to help the group return. When the entire team returned to the university campus, it was half past nine at night. A selection of the photographs taken during the whole time is at here. The members and chairman of local Union Parishad have provided the logistics in distribution. Their contribution is highly acknowledged.
