Muktijuddho Corner

This is literarily a corner on the 4th floor of the library building at SUST. It is probably the only one of its kind in Bangladesh where all possible books and documentation on the liberation war are available for not only the students of the university but also for any researcher of the history of one glorious struggle of independence.

This room has been decorated in the spirit of Liberation War and contains not only all national book available but is also in the process of documenting the Liberation War, region wise of all the different districts of Bangladesh. A visit to this Muktijuddho Corner immediately takes the visitors to the 9 months of agony, and immense struggle of the common message in their quest for freedom. Video clips and CDs are available for the visitors to see and feel the war on a day to day basis throughout the months of 1971.

It is our Belief that this will become a centre for all possible data and documentation of the Liberation War. Researchers will come from far wide to visit, this corner of our library which is already a part of the glorious history of Bangladesh. We feel inspired to see that in the last year also, different institutions in Bangladesh have taken an initiative to start Muktijuddho Corners in their own libraries
