Seminar on "Ground Improvement Technology & Applications

On July 17, 2025, the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) hosted a seminar titled "Ground Improvement Technology & Applications." The event was organized by the Center for Research, Testing, and Consultancy (CRTC), CEE, SUST.
The seminar was chaired by Dr. Mohammad Shahidur Rahman, Professor and Head of the Department of CEE at SUST.
Keynote speeches were delivered by:
- Mr. Yuki Imai, Technical Manager of the Overseas Section, Fudo Tetra Corporation, Japan
- Dr. Shriful Islam, Professor in the Department of CEE at SUST and Coordinator of CRTC-CEE, SUST
Other distinguished speakers included:
- Mr. Hiroshi Fukuzumi, Managing Director, Fudo Tetra Corporation
- Mr. Mahabub Sadiq, Civil Engineer, Fudo Tetra Corporation
The seminar focused on addressing challenges related to soft ground conditions, exploring innovative ground improvement techniques, and showcasing real-world project applications. It served as a platform for knowledge exchange between academia and industry.
