It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Architecture (ARC) at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). Since its establishment in 2004, the department has grown into a vibrant hub of creative exploration, intellectual inquiry, and professional development.
At Department of Architecture, we believe architecture is more than designing buildings, it is about shaping human experiences, respecting cultural context, and responding thoughtfully to environmental challenges. Our program emphasizes the integration of design thinking, technical knowledge, and social awareness, enabling students to become responsible and visionary architects.
Through our studio-based learning, collaborative research, and engagement with real-world issues, we encourage students to explore innovative design solutions that reflect both local and global perspectives. Our faculty members are dedicated to guiding students in discovering their own creative voices while maintaining academic and professional excellence.
The department’s accreditation by the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) and its active participation in international platforms such as ARCASIA and the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) reaffirm our commitment to quality education and global collaboration.
