Overview

Shahjalal University Debating Society is the central debating organization of SUST. It was founded in 1992 as a student-run organization to provide a platform of debating skills , logic and rational thinking. It aims to promote intellectual capacities to the students at SUST. It conducts inter-university debating competitions, school and college level competitions and inter-departmental debate tournaments for all the students of Shahjalal University. SUDS is also at the forefront of tournament debates and other cultural activities all over the greater Sylhet region and Bangladesh . Our motto is "যুক্তির স্পন্দনে ভাঙুক অথবা গড়ুক এই বিশ্ব"
